The cult of Twitter
Tom Cuthbert posts to Twitter frequently.
He’ll be featured in a Sunday story I’m writing on how businesses harness the power of Twitter.
“I think it’s a useful tool,” said Cuthbert, who runs Click Forensics, a click fraud technology company with offices in San Antonio and Austin. He joined the site a few months ago. He has 34 followers and he’s following 35 people. They get to instantly receive his tweets on the Web or through mobile phone updates. The “following” terminology, which conjures up images of stalkers, kind of creeps Cuthbert out, but he will put up with it.
“I told someone I had 30 followers the other day and they asked me if I ran a cult,” Cuthbert said. Continue reading
